A look at the Mac OS X Leopard desktop
She likes how clean it is. Persistent menu bar, only one item on the desktop (the hard drive), and the Dock. No extra stuff and it seems like to her that I was right, the first Mac commandment is: 1. This is the Mac. It's SUPPOSED to be fun. (That passage was in earlier "Macintosh Bible" editions. It's no longer there, and it sure isn't in my 9th edition of the book.)
