The original Windhaven Hang Gliding Schools parachute manual was augmented by a Mainair Sports supplement after they invented the inner deployment bag system in the early 1980s. That innovation directly resulted from the death of a British hang glider designer (who had additionally made the sail for one of my experimental hang gliders in the late 1970s).
